Shiroka Laka village

Shiroka Laka village.

It is located in the heart of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountains - the Rhodopes - and offers a unique blend of nature and architecture. It rises on both banks of the Shiroko Laska River and is in close proximity to the large regional centre of Smolyan and the resorts of Pamporovo and Devin.

Today, Shiroka Laka has been declared an architectural and ethnographic reserve because of the remarkable early Renaissance houses that have been preserved since the beginning of the 19th century.
